$12,000.00 Selling my Cruiser because, my Home Depot and Dump Truck broke down (need it fixed - the house is suffering). Have owned the 40 for almost 3 years. Most of the parts are from Cruiser Outfitters and most of the Work was done by State Automotive. This is not a purist rig - it does have a carbureted chevy 350, but has the original 4 speed transmission. Have done a lot of work the past 3 years: Engine was put in last May with a new carburetor, headliner, door panels, 3 core aluminum radiator, Saginaw power steering (replaced last summer), wiring and exhaust was done about 2 months ago, and a Flex fan and shroud put on last week. Had a Ranger Overdrive when I bought it. The seats are in great condition. There are other items, but these are the big ones. The things it needs: Rear Sill, Wheel Wells, Driver Door Shell, Passenger Ambulance Door Shell, and the surface rust cleaned and painted (Body Work). Oh, and one of the previous owners put in a sun roof (not to fond of it either). I have a Classic Licence Plate, so I don't know if it will pass emissions, but it does pass safety. I think that's my life story. There are other pictures, will upload any more later. Will consider a trade or partial trade for a 97 FZJ80.

Your wife may really divorce you when you tell her it's only worth half your asking price.

Well, if I can't sale it I will tear it a part this winter and fix the body. And it's worth more than $6,000.00. Thanks for looking.

i was expecting a lot of rot inside and underneath. i mean who knows what is exactly under the bed liner but it looks in pretty darn good shape for a 79+. out of curiosity where did this truck spend its life to cause so much rot in the door panels?

I believe it spent most of its life in Heber, UT. Have no idea why the 2 doors have so much rot and the other 2 are fine. Maybe, when it rained, the previous owner hurried and rolled down the window (instead of up). It doesn’t explain the passenger ambulance door – but, it’s my only guess on the driver’s door.

is the plate on the driver door frame, a California tag? for the engine swap.
is the extra stick a ranger torque splitter?
too bad someone cut a hole in the dash, assume it was for a tach?
do you have the original speedometer cluster?

The plate is a Utah Tag. The extra stick is the Ranger torque splitter. The hole in the dash is where they had a tach. Had it removed when the wiring was done, to put the headlight switch back where it should be. The instrument cluster is the one that was in it when I bought the cruiser.
