My Brother and I are proud owners of a 1983 military edition FJ-40. A lot of people made offers to buy our vehicle or build one for them. After much thought we decided to restore a 1982 FJ-40 as per original specifications, with a few minor touches of our own.

The following website gives a bit of insight on our first project and our new venture.http://www.kaizrcruisers.com.

This could get interesting. . . Look at those tires!
Great find, looking forward to more photos and progress.

Nice, hopefully it did not live most of its life in Karachi?

love them army bar tires............

That first pic is a classic example of stock steelies over aftermarket wheels. Even though the steelies are dirty, rusty, etc. they look so much sweeter than the rears! In my pinion.

No its actually the original 2f block engine however we replaced the head and the manifolds with those from a 3F engine. The original head too many cavities and was badly pitted so we decided to switch. So far the performance is excellent.

Cool. Thats my long term plan as well. Do you remember if you used the 2f or 3f head gasket? 83' 2f would have flat top pistons, correct?

Hey.. another J40 from my country :)

Good luck bro.. post more pics.. are these Ranchos back there? Seem new.. where did u find them ? adjustables ? cost?

Subscribed!!! Ship me one...lol. Looking forward to this build!!!
