Had a 1981 FJ40 fall into my lap. I'm always looking for another cruiser but wasn't really ready to pull the trigger. I just couldn't pass up on a deal from a very generous Uncle. Don't know a lot about it other than it is a non-US model that seems to have come out of Venezuela. I've had a 1989 FJ-62 and a 2001 100series but never a FJ40. Heres the rig. This forum has been super helpful on my past Cruisers and looking forward to the experience with this one.

Had some issues with the idle solenoid not getting power but chased it down to a loose fuse. In looking at the fuse block and the fuse sizes they don't seem to match what I'm seeing on the site. I haven't picked up a FSM for this yet so I'm not sure how it matches the manual. The diagram below is what I sketched to show the fuse size and what has power. Does this seem to match what should be OEM for 1981?

Thanks for the link and cover picture, super helpful. Not sure why my hot lead comes in on the bottom with one end loose and then through the fuse. I'll have to pull the other fuses and see what shuts off to see what order the fuses are in the block.

Compression test dry tonight. I’m at 5600ft elevation. Most all at ~115psi With elevation correction it still seems healthy right?
