Funny. I am looking at it on my phone as well and I don't see the pictures either. Anyway, its just the adapter in the box.

Going to retrieve the truck from ACC today. Trans went back together yesterday but there was an issue. Something was binding when the cases were bolted together. Looks like we found the culprit. Just gotta get it sorted and then reassemble. The dual adapter is ready to go on as well. Had to scavenge the shift parts from one case and am using a different one for the box. So, in theory, I should be able to get the trans and duals in this week. Then just have to sort out drive shafts.

Good times. Glad to see it coming back the WR. Now the guys at the shop can get back to abusing it. :-)

Now I know why you took the service mangers job, who could possibly get any work done on the wheeling truck when stuck behind a computer and on the telephone selling parts all day.:grinpimp:

Man I wish. I spend just as much time behind the desk now. And when I'm not I'm going a million miles an hour all day every day. Barely have time to catch my breath. I'll have to stick to after hours and weekends like before to get any work done. Good thing is, having the truck there I will be able to actually work on it when I have time. Now I have to plan a full day and drive about 1.5 hours each way.

That is true Matt. I hope to have it ready (or at least mostly ready) in the next 2 weeks.

Well, the crawl box (I guess that's what you call this part) is together. One of the guys in the shop actually put it together for me. I'm sure he was tired of all the transfer guts on his table. A couple of observations: 1. It was deceptively simple 2. It took a very small amount of time 3. There are a TON of leftover parts

The amount of leftover parts was increased by the fact that I used a forward shift case but we disassembled a top shift case to get the linkage out of it. So I had TWO cases completely torn apart. Sheesh. Anyway, here's some pictures.

Mobile app strikes again so seeing pictures will have to wait til later tonight.

I agree the amount of spare parts that are left over is ridiculous, but since you cannibalize the main shaft out of the case, they are pretty much useless except for spares and wall art. At least you have enough parts to put one mostly back together, just with screwy linkage.

I think you should hang the back half of the case, with the rear output up on the wall, that's what was gonna do when I end up doing one of these.

I did think about using some or all pieces and powder coating or painting them and making something cool out of it.

Matt decided to make some sculptures out of the spare parts. Will post pics when they are finished.

Also, got a line on some used 37s... should be picking them up this afternoon. :hhmm:

Stuart created a slight breach of etiquette by skipping the 35 and going right for the throat! 37s are going to really change your altitude. Looking forward to how it is going to look.

Also sorry for the Christmas Story reference there.

Haha. Nice. I'll give you a pass since that's my favorite Christmas movie. I know that 35s are going to be too small. Also it doesn't make sense to get them and then have to turn around and go bigger. I'd rather just go all in so to speak. I think 37 will be a good size for my setup. I've actually seen people running 38-39s with a similar setup to what I have. That's definite axle breaking territory right there though. I'm hoping I can roll on the 37s for a while (couple years) and then possibly go bigger when I upgrade to Longs. Which I hope will happen by choice but is much more likely to happen from necessity. I'll just have to watch it with the skinny pedal...

I have plenty of stock birfs that you can have. Just don't expect me to wait around and watch you change one on the trail.

I appreciate the offer. That's really more the point I think. I don't want to have to change birfs in the middle of the trail. Hopefully the 37s won't be too much. And I say that I'll watch the skinny pedal but we all know the truth. When I get out there I'm just gonna wheel the :censor: out of it.

Yep, and with all those "RE" squirrels under the hood you are gonna need that restraint. In actuality, it is the double low first gear that will most likely cost you a shaft before speed will. Front-end in a bind in double low and then you gas on it to pull it thru and you will hear that infamous grenade sound.

Side-bar, so when will the LOWE Toyota metal art sculptures be available for purchase. Have you added a part number to the catalog for each one? :grinpimp: That is pretty creative, I like the smaller one myself, can't figure out what the big one is supposed to be.
