1978 Mass FJ40

So finally bought a 78 fj40 back in December (I have yet to tell my wife and have been storing it at a friends).

The last owner did a pretty lame spray job on it, so I dropped it off to my local body shop to someone I've known for 5 years.

Sadly to say the clutch had no pressure and when we moved the vehicle there was a puddle of liquid where the reservoir would have been over.

This is my first "classic" and luckily my friend and brother kept me from freaking out.

I'll post pictures of it later next week, but needless to say i'm pretty pumped and terrified of telling my wife.

Also does anyone know if Trollhole is still making softtops? I had a pm convo going on in december but that died off due to Winter in Massachusetts. Just want to make sure before I send him the bows direct from the vendor.

Don't know why you would send @Trollhole the bows then pay again to ship them to you along with the top... He has the tops made to a pattern based on factory type bows so he should not need your bows.

I lived with my parents when I bought my FJ40. I was supposed to be "saving for a house." Instead, I bought a (dead) 40. Similarly, I hid it at my girlfriend's house until I got it running, driving, and through inspection, then I broke the news.
