I really really hate to do this fellas but I have to sell my baby. As usual the Mud price is cheaper depending on how many of the extras you want to take. 1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser
Rapid life changes have forced the sale of the one vehicle I swore I would never sell. This was a Nevada truck before I owned it and that is evident from the body. The paint is original and looks really good for the age. The rust spots are the front fenders where the fender support meets the outer edge of the fender and one of the rear corners (covered with diamond plate now but not bad at all). The rear fender tops are also showing a few small easily patchable rust holes.
This truck has a newly rebuilt 2F engine from Proffit's Resurrection Land Cruisers. When I say rebuilt I mean less than 1,000 miles on it. Brand new Toyota electronic ignition was also installed by Proffitt's. While the engine was out I replaced the fan clutch, thermostat housing, clutch, choke cable, all seals and gaskets on the engine, radiator, belts, etc. This truck runs smooth and easy.
The Cruiser has a 4 inch lift with Downey shackles, the suspension is tight. Saginaw power steering conversion. Full roll cage. Cruiser is plumbed for an auxilary fuel tank which is not installed but included. Man-A-Fre rear bumper, Hi-Lift Jack, Custom front bumper, Wiring harness for auxiliary lights (not hooked up), Warn hubs, Tuffy console, rear mat, 33" General Grabber tires with custom wheels, Lock-rite locker in rear end
Rust free underbody and frame (previous owner had it undercoated, no bubbling)
Both axles recently rebuilt, birfs are clean.
Rust free hard top, ambulance doors and front doors are included.
This Cruiser has performed flawlessly all over Colorado and Eastern Utah. It's a true pleasure to drive and handles really well. This truck may be at Cruise Moab on the Friday of the event so potential buyers could see it then. Any questions feel free to ask.
