Offered for sale is a very original 1978 FJ40. Vehicle has 26,000 original miles. With the exception of some minor rust where the tub meets the roof, there is no decay to the body. Paint is original. Recent work includes new Optima Red Top battery, new OEM parking brake, new OEM hoses, brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder, new tires to include the spare on new OEM later style wagon wheels. Have the original split rims if somebody wants to convert it back. All fluids have been replaced. New air, oil and fuel filters. Brakes have been checked and still plenty of life left in the pads. Drums were turned. No leaking wheel cylinders. Interior is in remarkable condition. With the exception of one small split on the driver’s seat, the original vinyl shows no wear. Has a custom carpet set installed. Have added seat belts, new OEM shifter boots, a rebuilt heater, OEM knobs, etc. All gauges work. No electrical issues. Have a PTO winch and roll bar that are not installed. Have several boxes of miscellaneous spare parts, a box of metric plated nuts and bolts. Has a complete as new tool roll.
