The buzzer has me stumped. If you look at the 1977 wiring diagram I have I don't see how it would work? With the belt buckle normally open it won't buzz unless belt is installed. The 78' diagram makes total sense if I assume a NC relay and buzzer in the case but not the 77. Anyone run into this or able to explain the 77 with two piece relay and buzzer.
Thanks

SHould add, I have the 77 wiring (know that now) but it is registered as a 78 so I bought a 78 buzzer...
Opened up the 78 buzzer and there is a lot of parts in there, so it is not a simple relay.
Confirmed my seat belt buckle is normall closed and open when you buckle up.

Curious as to why you would even bother to fix it if it wasn't working - just an annoyance to me.

I am wanting to wire it up for a reminder to turn my lights off. With more aux lights comes greater potential to drain the battery. Also I have a 2H diesel and A440F swapped in my 40 so I can't jump start it like a manual transmission.

The circuit works like this: The set Belt warning relay is wired to turn ON as soon as you turn the key on. This puts +12V to the Seat Belt Buzzer which is grounded through the seat belt switch which is Normally Closed. So as soon as you turn the key on, and the seat belt is NOT buckled, the buzzer sounds. When you buckle the seat belt you OPEN the seat belt switch, which turns OFF the buzzer.

In order to use this as an AUX light on reminder simply find the Blue/Red wire coming from the seat belt relay, cut it and re-route the end going to the seat belt relay to the +12V that powers the AUX light. If the AUX light is ON, AND the seat belt is buckled, no buzzer. If the Aux light is ON and the seat belt is NOT buckled the buzzer will sound.
