$22,000 OBO
**** NO RUST, No bondo, No steel-pate, No rhino liner. Original Engine & Transmission.***
I purchased this truck in Los Angeles in approx. 2006. I understand that this was the 2nd or 3rd owner and that the truck was originally a “forest service” vehicle used in the Riverside/San Bernardino hills. This is what I was told but I never researched this after purchase.
I immediately took it to my mechanic (of 20+ years) and asked him to go through it and make it as fresh as possible, mechanically. This included a valve adjustment, replacing all belts, hoses and clamps, breaks, etc. It has an aftermarket carb (Webber I believe) and runs perfectly overall.
Original engine and transmission.
The exhaust is aftermarket (previous owner) and sounds great, a nice rumble but not loud.
I have tried to keep this truck looking as “original” as possible with the exception of the lift and new wheels/tires. (lift is 2 or 3-inch OME if I remember correctly but I would have to see the paperwork to be sure).
It was painted (previous owner) and it's not a great job, it looks OK from a few feet away but there are a few runs here and there.
THERE IS NO RUST anywhere on the truck that I am aware of.
The original hardtop has been removed and sold, as well as the doors. I have the cloth half-doors in the front now and a metal tailgate in the back (that is hinged and swings out to the side). I had a vertical clearance problem in the condo I was living in and I had to do this to get it to fit inside the garage.
I have all of the paperwork in a file somewhere, if I can find it!
The truck is in Los Angeles, ZIP 90049, covered, in a secure, underground garage.
Since I have owned it is has always been garaged, and it has never seen rain or even a wet street.
MILES ARE UNKNOWN – odometer cable was broken when I purchased it.
Please ask any questions below.
Thanks everyone!
