Im new on here so please bare with me. I purchased a 76 fj40 disc brake axle from cruiserparts for my 70 fj40 and the bolt pattern on the drive shaft flange and the axle flange dont not line up. They are just a little off. I was wondering if I could just replace from the slip yoke forward to the flange with a later model or will I have to replace the flange it self from either the axle or the drive shaft?

Thanks

Welcome.

You can replace the female drive shaft piece with a later piece if you want, or you can change the companion flange on the differential.

Either will work just fine.

Does anyone have the female side that will work they are not useing that I could buy? And how hard is it to change the one on the diff side?
