My wife purchased this 40 last summer from a long-time forum member to have as a second FJ40 in the household. Unfortunately its just not getting the use we envisioned so we are going to pass it along to someone else to enjoy. Below is the original sale posting from last year which contains details regarding the truck's past with links documenting many of the upgrades.

We have only put roughly 1,000 street only miles on the truck in the last 15 months so it is basically in the same configuration as purchased (soft top is currently installed)

This is not a show truck as there is rust in a number of places on the tub. It has a 3FE conversion that starts first crank and it runs like a top. Front axle birfs and knuckles are upgraded FJ60, mini-truck power steering, 4" Skyjacker and an Aussie locker in the rear. She sits on FJ60 chrome wheels with BFG 31 10.50 AT's.

Truck is located in Austin, Texas. Asking $7,500 to recover the original investment.

She comes with both the softtop and bikini, metal tech tube doors. The truck does not have a hard top.

Where did you get those seats? I like them.

Seats were rebuilt using SOR foam bases, covers are locally installed with burnt orange vinyl. Super comfy, wish I had them in my 40.

Update. We are going to pull it off the market and give it to my nephew in Idaho. He loves the outdoors and could use this little bad boy.

Not sure yet how I'm getting her to Idaho. I want to deliver it in person and unannounced but am not excited about a cross country drive in winter with a soft top. Maybe Seaknight wants an adventure, he could keep me company and write chapters to "Saving the Rustbucket" along the way.

Pics of the rear bumper for Rob, sent you a PM
