I've had this truck for 6 years, it's been in my garage for the last 4. I don't want to sell it after the time & money i've put into it but i need $ for a CPA review course and i'm totally broke.. i paid $3500 for the truck in 2003 and have since replaced the headers, brake master cylinder, all brake lines, all brake wheel cylinders, new optima red top battery, transplanted F engine (og engine smoked but did not blow up before i had it replaced).. the po had the truck painted dune beige all floors are black rhino-lined diamond plate, but for the drivers & passengers footwells, new rear quarter panels, "custom" rear tailgate (painted sheet metal), because the floors are not OE specs, the seat frames had to be welded on. Gas tank has a leak, will need the e-brake, need wiring harness repair to be in running shape. This truck is no trailer queen. I have lots of spare brand new parts i have yet to use. I actually shed a tear at the thought of selling this rig but i have to keep my priorities in order. $2750 is the price for the truck and also for the becker cpa review course.

it has a little rust on the inside of the frame-rails.. the po rhino-lined everything on the tub and parts of the outside of the frame rails & bottom of the frame rails, they did not strip and coat the entire frame but the rust it has may be repairable.. the front has a tube bumper which has been welded on. i have a few others interested but no offers and no lookers yet.. i just posted the ad yesterday.. the body panels have been largely replaced &/or repainted. the po pieced together a decent body no panels rusting.

thanks for the interest.. i'm in Essex county New Jersey. i have three people already interested, i think i'm low-balling myself.. the truck is also on craigslist.. i'll post some pics later tonight when i get home...

fire sale...

some pics.. back up for sale.. i need to pay off debt and i don't have time to play with this anymore.. i hate to have to sell it.

The title is clear, the frame is ok, it has a spot on the inside of the driver-side frame rail that has rusted through. it is about 5 inches long & 1 inch wide..i had someone look at it and he says it's repairable. the rear tailgate is a piece of sheet metal, a license plate light & light is mounted to it, it's painted body color (dune beige). the rear quarter panels were replaced with new ccot panels. the floors have all been replaced with thick diamondplate steel, this cruiser does not have the original floors. because of this, the rear tub is a bit wider at the lip where the top fits, so the hardtop had to be creased about 1/8 of an inch to get it to fit the tub. i didn't know this when i bought the truck, so i'm telling you up front. i paid $4500 for it and i've put a few $k more into it since. the front seats have been recovered. the front floors have no rust. the seat frames had to be welded to the floors since the floors were fabricated.
everything under the rhino lining is solid.
i pulled the wiring harness to fix a short. i have the original harness
as well as a spare one for parts. the rest of the body is good, no rust. the o.e. windshield hinges broke, i have the new replacements but they will need to be painted. i put new headers on but the collector & pipe will need to be welded together. the engine was transplanted, no smoke, good compression. new clutch, new brake master cylinder, new brake lines, tires have a little dry-rot but are functional. once this truck is running, it's roadworthy. before i parked it, this truck started the first time, every time. let me know if you want to know more.

Do what it takes to be CPA. My brother in law is one and makes $ hand over fist. After becoming a CPA you buy all the pfojects you want.

Yup, that's true, once you become a professional you can probably afford all the projects you want. Insanity follows soon thereafter ... ;p Seriously, stay focused on that CPA. There will be other trucks. Best of luck!

^^yes, i originally paid $4,500 then got a partial refund because i was misled about the condition of the truck: i wrote the guy a check for $4,500 and then i drove the truck off with no top while he painted it. when i took it back for the top install they had to crease the top a little at the bottom lip on the driver-side to get it to meet the tub. the floor dimensions were off a little bit. at any rate, i got them to give me back an extra $1,000 and then ended up spending more than that putting all the other little things into it that i did on top of what they had already done.. i really wanted an original soft top with og bows set up (i looked into eshan's work which seems excellent)..

i got some cheap CPA review stuff off of craigslist but it is expired.. i can still use most of it though.. but i still need the $ for paying down debt cause now come the addional accounting courses i will need to be totally qualified for the cpa.. more $$!!:beer::rolleyes::meh:
