I am selling this FJ40 for the original owner who is 90 years young. This truck has a good history and has been used on a Ranch in Utah most all it's life. Original paint! Has typical rust in the rear sill and rear quarters but it's all there and it runs good. Needs some suspension work and steering work but hopefully the price is right. I am trying to get some more pictures. Let me know what you think.

The Orange Barn Find

Here are some more pictures of this 73 FJ40. This is getting more interesting. I can now see that what I thought was original Red paint is actually one of the somewhat rare Orange FJ40's.

I'm looking at the picture of the interior and the odometer looks like it reads "47756"? We're checking on this. The seats have always been covered so they should be in good shape! The owner has new tires and Optima battery for the truck which have not been installed.

New Development

The owner's son has shipped this truck out to Southern CA and is going to give it an super detail and we will be able to see what the heck this old Pollux Orange Cruiser looks like.

Story get's better

This little Orange 73 Land Cruiser has been sitting on the ranch in Utah for the last 40 year until now it's finally being sold. No one bothered to look at the miles until this week after it was cleaned up. I was told it at first it had 130,000 miles then the 90 year owner told his Son the mileage was 87,000 miles. Now that we wiped the dirt and grime off the cluster we can see it better. That's not an "8"

Here's a great story regarding this Land Cruiser. The owners son went to law school back in the early 80's at Brigham Young University and became friends with non other than Steve Young who played for BYU and ultimately would spend the final 13 years of his NFL career with the 49ers, first, as Joe Montana's back up QB and then stepping up when Montana retired.

One day they were out hunting in this FJ40 on the Ranch in Utah. The top was off the Cruiser back then and they hit a bump that sent Young flying. In the calamity, Young's 30.06 discharged and shot a hole through the fender of the Cruiser. That's one bonus hole the new owner will not want to patch. We may even get Steve to sign the fender.

I can't take any credit for this. I didn't do a damn thing other than post pictures and consigned the rig. I am however half tempted to buy the thing myself. It's still going to need some work, the rear sill has rust but it's a hell of a lot better looking than it was.
