1972 FJ40

Hello, and thanx for checking out our beloved Smurfette cruiser I have for sale. It’s been a labor of love building and putting this truck together, but I recently became a member of the 80 crowd and I just don’t have the time nor space it deserves. Here is a link to the build: Meat builds a 40 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/meat-builds-a-40.944527/

Full frame off restomod. Frame was blasted, boxed, and coated with POR 15.
5.3 Vortec sourced from Pacific Fabrication. Out of a 99 Silverado that had 79,000 miles on it. Showing just over 4,000 on the odometer. New engine harness, shallow oil pan, plugs, wires, and sensors.
4L60E transmission and Lokar shifter.
Advance Adapters twin stick transfer case shifters.
Griffin crossflow radiator with electric fan and separate tranny cooler.
New exhaust with Magna Flow muffler…..has a sweet rumble to it.
Optima red top battery.
Custom cold air intake.
EZ Wiring Harness.
Dakota Digital Display.
Tuffy center locking console with radio slot.
Side by side style blue tooth sound bar.
Saginaw power steering conversion.
Ididit steering column with wooden steering wheel.
Custom front bumper with winch plate.
Custom rear bumper with swing out spare carrier.
Front disc conversion with BTB products kit and booster.
Rear disc conversion with Poser’s kit.
Conferr rear fuel tank.
Conferr rear bench seat with storage under the seat.
VW Jetta seats. The recline electronically and slide manually.
Full soft top and FST doors from Julie at Dirtroad Tops. Black powder coated frame is also included.
Each body panel was sand blasted, epoxy primed, and single stage paint.
LED headlights, new side markers, new blinkers, and new taillights.
35 x 12.5 R15 Mickey Thompson tires.
New weatherstripping on doors and windshield. On the hardtop I used the existing weatherstripping since it was in good shape.
All switches are new. The lighter has a USB charger in it’s place, but I do have the lighter as well.
Full Metaltech roll cage.
The hardtop is a recent install and I took it all apart, primed it, painted it, and put it back together with new hardware and weatherstripping (except for the glass). I used Raptor liner on the inside and outside of the roof.

CONS:

It does not have a heater installed. I’ve gone back and forth between installing a full AC system to just a simple heater, but never made up my mind. I’ve never really needed it since I live in the high desert. I have installed the smaller vintage air unit on my other builds and it’s an easy thing to do if someone desired doing that.

The wipers have been a thorn in my side since I began this build. I took the assembly all apart and cleaned them, but I believe the issue is in the wiring. I can get them to turn on one speed, but that is it and sometimes they blow the fuse. Since we don’t get much rain it hasn’t bothered me to keep messing with it.

There a few dings along the rear wheel wells from a trip to Pismo and some dings on the hood, but other than that the body is straight.

Asking $35,000 OBO.

Thanx!

Craig
