1972 FJ40 Heater No Worky-Help

My heater seems to have given up on me. Has power but the fan doesnt come on. Any ideas? Also, on a 72 heater, is there supposed to be some sort of spring on the defrost flapper to keep it in one position or the other?

motor might be bad maybe resistor bad if power is getting to motor then motor no good. no spring on door. flap just stays there

The rear heater I got with my truck would not spin. I took it apart and put some lubircatiing oil on the shaft bushings and spun it by hand a bit. It was totally frozen to begin with....works great now!

maybe check the wiring,,,,,????
