I’m not buying the original paint claim. 1970, but older apron, quarter and bezel marker lights? Could also be shadows, but top, lift gate, tailgate and quarters look like different shades. All the doors have been off as well because it’s all yellow zinc hardware, not painted.
All that said, it looks nice besides being red. Would just require a really close look.

this is before the mid year 1970 change over
originally would have had single circuit brakes
reflectors all around versus lights
 
I thought the reflectors was 68. But yes, the brakes are changed over from the single circuit, non-boosted.
