Found a 1966 FJ45 SWB on craigslist the other day. Went to look at it today and did some horse trading. Viola I now own a SWB RT  The kicker is that it was originally spring green!!!:grinpimp: Love that color...

Previous owner bought it in Montana in 96. That is all the History I have for it.

It is definately a project and has a good base to start with. I have a enough rigs and parts now that I can probably get it restored back to better than new. Anyone want the nissan turbo diesel? I'm going to need a floor panel and patience.

Congrats Bull. I am starting to think that the upside down bezel is a WA thing - Bull and Mike.

Nice find!

I'd take a hard look at the Nissan TD before you ditch it, unless it's thrown a rod or something. In turbo form, it was an acceptable motor in the Scouts (assuming this is a 1980 TD Nissan engine from a Scout). The non-turbos were 80 hp, and were hopeless, but that engine may have some potential. The factory turbo setup didn't provide much boost, but presumably you could turn up the wick a bit. I think they were ~105-115 hp in stock trim.

If you're die-hard on making it all Toyota, then do what you want, but that engine isn't the worst choice for what they might have put under the hood.

nice find.......I am also happy to see someone else has the Costco car ports :D

Bull, there's a hole in your windshield frame just inboard of the left side windshield hook. I have the EXACT SAME HOLE on my lwb45. What's on the front side of the windshield frame?
