Anyone know if there is some good weather stripping available that will fit my front doors? Keep in mind that this is a 1962. The normal weather stripping that you see at Man-a-Fre, Sor or CCOT is for 1963-1974. The pre 1963 has no upper lip on the top of the door. If I recall it needs to be a 2 piece fit with the larger going on the sides and bottom of the door, the other piece going on the top cross member of the body. Pics will be posted shortly at http://fj40.dyndns.org:8081 located in the "Paint" folder.

Thanks,

Robert

Good Job,Nice looking truck !

Just a thought, you might have to cut down a later weather stripping to make It work :hhmm:

That's what I did. I used some later ( that still fit the early style doors) w/s and cut the top piece.

Thanks, many hours, but hopefully soon I get this done to have some enjoyment out of it besides putting it back together.

The weather stripping seems to be a bit short from later year productions. Does anyone have a good link for a weather stripping supplier?

I know you have it all painted, but what about some newer door tops? You would not have to loose the bug catchers if you did not want to, or ever get the newer ones with the updated wing window.
