Hi everyone

Just joined today and what a great website you have. I have a 1958 Toyopet Crown in all original condition. This car was found in Northern California in a barn. I also have an additional 58 and a 59 Toyopet. I am looking for additional hub caps for this car which are the same as the 1958 to 1963 Land Cruiser . I have worked for Toyota for the last 29 years and it is the greatest company to work for. If anyone knows of someone that may have Toyopets please let me know as I am in the process of forming a Toyopet Registry from 1958 to 1963.

Thanks

Toyopet, that's something new. How about posting some pictures. I would like to see it sometime. I think you'll like this forum were pretty easy going in the 25 forum.

If you could post a picture of your hub caps that would help. The cruiser hub caps that you were talking about were importing 1958 to early 1969. Does the Toyopet have 15" wheels? You don't have any extra license plate lights?

Frenchy,

Your shrine #3 was done with great thought and detail. I however could never get that approved in my home, not that we all have not thought of it one time or another. But you pulled it off very well. The brick, street light, engine and show cases all complement one another and does not appear to be crowded. Lastly the mural was a nice touch.

Frenchy, nice to have you here! :D

That's funny, I never noticed the hubcaps were the same before. I think we talked by email after you bought the '59 on Ebay.................I was asking if you were going to part it out. ;)

Some other shared parts with the Toyopet:
FJ25 license lamp is the same as the sedan.
FJ45LV rear door latch is the same as the station wagon.

I do not have the fog lights for my car. The headlight rim are the same.

The lights on the blue museum car are incorrect, the lights on the black one in the post above it are correct. 81210-60010 Get 'em while you can, I doubt toyota will be making more. ;)

Jim

Are you talking about the seal beams or the headlight rims? The only rear license light I had was cracked. I will keep you in mind if I locate another one.

Thanks
Frenchy

Frenchy, I was talking about the fog lights, they're still avavailable from Toyota, they do not come with brackets.

I should be all set for original parts, although some of the other guys would probably want the license light and headlight rings. The rear license light on the FJ25 disappears very quickly because it's so exposed. :frown:

I have looked at the Toyopet hubcaps before. Tho the acorn in the center is the same, I believe the hubcaps to be different. Our FJ caps roll in a dome all the way to the outside step, which is a short step. Yours should taper out, and to a taller step.

Best

Hub Caps

Thanks for the info. I have now located more than a dozen used hub caps from Japan and Canada. I will be selecting the few best ones and possibly selling the other one. If someone is in need of them let me know. I can also have them restored if someone wishes.

Thanks

Hub Caps

Mark

Thanks for your reply I have checked them against FJ and they are the same type of hub caps. We have a 1962 FJ in the museum in Torrance Calif and they are the same one as the 58 Toyopet.

Thanks again
Frenchy
