Has anyone ever put a 16.5" tire on a 17" rim. I have heard of 16.5" tires going on 16" rims, so im assuming it can be done, just wondering if anyone has ever done this. Any info would be appreciated!!!

my friend put 16.5 tires on 16 rims on acksident and it was not safe and he bought new rims. I would not put different sizes together. The sizes are there for a reason.
DON'T DO IT! Like said above- the sizes are there for a reason.

Ok, i understand its not the greatest idea, but i am having a hell of a time finding a 16.5" rim with a 6 lug pattern, and im running out of options.

I run 16.5" tires on Marsh beadlocks they built for me.
16.5" x 8" with the six bolt pattern.

Look on pirate there have been several sets of 16.5 6 lug hummer rims since you have been looking. I think I posted one link up awhile back in your wanted listing.
