Possibly a silly question, but I have looked thru the FSM and searched the forum and I'm stumped.

I have the tach sender for my vehicle, but it did not come installed. I was able to thread it in all the way so I know it fits no problem. It looks to have been repaired at some point which might explain why it's not in the vehicle.

Now I feel sheepish and dumb asking this- but I can not for the life of me find where I plug the sender into the harness. My truck has a couple plugs on the main harness going into the cab by the firewall that I thought might be them, but the sender cord isn't long enough to fit and if it did none of the plugs would work.

Based off the wiring diagram in the FSM, I know I'm looking for a connection that has BR and R wires. Does my repaired sender have the wrong connector? Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks in advance

See if there is another harness under the floor over the transmission/transfer case. There should be one. Your tach probably plugs into that harness.

Looks like you have the right connector on the sender. The second connector should be near bellhouse.

Found it! Holy crap though that is not an easy thing to get to. Mods please delete this thread if its junky.
