Ok this sounds crazy but I am going to finish putting the 14B-T inside the 13B-T to finally finish the monster engine.

All I need to do is
1. get a 14B-T CAMSHAFT
2. get a 14B-T crank
3. New 14B-T pistons and rings and sleeves - again :( they are cheap here.

Anything else ? The head is the same for 14B-T/13B-T correct? i cannot find both part numbers together on the web. Anyone know?

4. 14B-T fuel pump, manifold and timing gear already done.

Reason for finishing - ROAD TAX is huge for the next 200cc jump bascially $800+rm.

I dont think there is much info on this site regarding the compatabilty of 14b and 13b parts, but it is interesting and I hope you post up your findings.
Someone on here recently claimd they had a 14B head on their 13BT but I doubt they will have the same part numbers.

Is the crank the same or does it give longer stroke?

the bore is the same the stroke is different as 13B and 14B use the same block.

Pistons are very different the 14B-T piston is much smaller and the gugeon pin is much higher up to increase the stroke.

I think I have now located a CAM :) my mekanik had one in his workshop.

20hp more for s slightly longer stroke. Impressive! Mahle makes pistons for the 14B-T

.

I can see that increasing the compression but not the stroke. Stroking requires a crank with a larger radius.

Thats right which is why I am getting the 14B-T CRANK also.

20HP difference but the torque is awesome for a little 4 :) . With the 21psi boost it will be a real sleeper haha like it is now.

Anyway bad news RED is off the road my neighbour reported it to road transport - me driving it without a license and illegal modifications so when i went to renew the yearly road tax - guess what denied - then to cap it all off RED got broken into this morning and they stole the APEXI gauges and the nice touch screen stereo. I not having a good week.

Good to see you have it under control

Damn neighbours and thieves:D

Hi all, avid reader here, first time I ask something though....sort of have the same idea...have a BJ42 from 1984 with a 3B engine. As I need to overhaul the engine was wondering if with minor modifications you could put a 14B or 14BT head on top of the stock 3B block...is that crazy? exscuse my ignorance (reason for doing this here is that they only check the number stamped on the block)
