Hi Diesel fanatics!

If it helps, my 12Ht is from a HJ61 which had air conditioning.

There is a vertical pipe in the rear of the head against the firewall and I am not sure if it is for a heater hose or if I can simply block it off.

I have a unknown sensor located to the right of the oil pressure sensor. I **think** it may be something for the A/C or for the Glow-Screen circuit? But I really do not know.

Anyone have a circuit diagram for this?

Thanks for any help.

first pic is water temperature sensor, with 2H it is in the front of the head. This sensor is used by the glowplugs in the HJ60/75 and the glowscreen in the 12HT.Sensor is about $190.00au
Scond pic is hot water outlet from head to heater. cheers

that heater hose outlet on mine went to the rear heater under the seat,i removed the heater then blocked that hole on the head.
cheers goldchaser

OK,
I have another water temperature sensor near the thermostat for the the dashboard gauge. The one pictured is for the glow-screen system specifically, yes?

On the rear heater hose, where is the return line? Does it just union with the front heater return?

Yes .. it's only for this ..

i think the return did join back onto maybe the black hose in your photo,i know i had to replace the black hose as well,i cant remember a union but if i changed the black one you would think that was the reason, sorry memories a bit scetchy.

Here's a union picture:
(it was not the reason of this picture, but...)

OurSauvage, thanks for the post.

Is this configuration supposed to be constantly circulating coolant through the rear heater?

I wanted to block off this pipe. I've been looking for a clean way of capping it without the hoses rubbing since the engine vibration will wear them through.

It would be nice to just unscrew the pipe and plug the hole. I've been afraid to twist the pipe because on older engines the pipe has broken off. I don't want to chance it here.

Nope ! there's an independant valve, remote by the rear passengers themselves

On non-equiped HJ, there's also a metallic pipe, but only 10 centimeter and with something like a screwed lead

Pre heat system

Hey guys, ive got a hj75series that had a 12v 2h engine , recently got a 12ht motor and have used my 12v electric system and have dropped it in the hj75.

Needing to know how to set up the pre heat system into the 2h wiring.

I understand that the green water temp sensor on the side of the 12ht is for the pre heat coil, where do these wires run to and how can i set up the pre heat in my 75series. Thanks guys..
Dayne
:)

When I put a 12ht in my old 60 I didn't wire up the pre heater as it doesn't get cold enough here to need it. Temps here dip below zero celcius in winter. I don't know where you live but that may save you some work.
