Anyone with a lighter color GX (white, silver, gray) done anything different with the side fenders, hood or roof? Meaning paint a different color, wrap a different color, etc.? I have some sun bake on my new to me SILVER GX and am trying to decide if I should simply repaint a few spots to match or maybe go with black vinyl on a few spots (side fenders, hood, roof, side mirrors). I know many 100 series trucks have two tone paint from the factory.

For inspiration, I would love to see any pics of your rig if you’ve done anything in these veins!

I've seen an example where they're painted a much darker color but cannot remember where I saw it. I'll see if I can find it. It looks pretty good tbh

My ‘04. Finally got a new front end (uca, lca, 2” lift struts) as the original front end parts were pretty clapped out. Did air bag trick on the rear. I’m sticking with 265/70/17s for now

New to me07 in Cypress. Had it about a month or so now. 2" lift with Billstein 5100s all around. OME springs up front and "washer trick" in the back for now as the air bags were replaced relatively recently.

Did a full front suspension refresh while I was in there. Upper and lower control arms, sway bar end links, inner and outer tie rods, etc...

OEM 2025 Tacoma Trailhunter wheels/tires with a ~1.5" spacer/hub adapter. May pull the badges and the rear chrome strip above license plate and paint them to match wheels soon.

Wrapped all of the interior wood.with black vinyl, added a grom vline for Android Auto and accessorides remote start. Speakers are next on the interior, then a seat/leather refresh.

Been a fun project so far, loving this thing. I've been daily driving and '18 MB CLA250 for a few years to keep miles off my 2012 Tacoma Baja. Swapped that Benz for the Lexus and have exactly zero regrets.
