@Franken470 so how is the rclt install going?
Well, hit a couple snags and one of them the same thing that probably will end up keeping @Vlad install ahead of mine. We both had worn motor mounts causing the motor to rest on the steering rack, I have a red neck solution of running some washers until the mounts arrive but I also sold my wheel setup and had planned on running those until I got gears. I have to get a set of wheels ASAP to get back on the road is option 2. Photos and videos coming soon.

Parts all laid out and organized

Used the frame template to drill a new hole that mounts the 200 series to the frame, it uses the differential housing mount on the driver side to mount both the rack and the differential.

The biggest issue we had today was the steering linkage, they provide an extended shaft to cut and weld on to help provide clearance from 2 separate areas of possible rub. We had to play with it to get it right but after about 4 tries we had it spot on. Forgot to get pictures of the section before we mounted it back up.

You have to burn out the original driver side bushing and press in this offset sleeve to correct the mounting location, there is also an area where you have to notch out the frame to clear the gearbox of the rack. It’s all buttoned up in the last 3 picture.

I’ve got some FZJ80 wheels if those will fit. You can borrow them if you need a temp solution.

It’s only a few days. I’m just being stubborn leaving 2 tires mounted for fitment while I wait on gears and trim the rear to stuff said mounted 37” tires. Thank you for the offer.

Sexy!

@Franken470 did you take off the week to complete this beast?

No need. I’ve got about 3 hours left and I’m waiting for 1 wheel which will be here Friday. I wanted to leave my pair of 37” tires mounted fit ease of fitment and fab my new swing out.

Ok, it’s as easy to type as to show picture but should anyone want to install RCLT, I did find a few things during the installation.
#1… not RCLT specific, if you are installing an inner axle seal on the knuckle it is quite large and bigger than any socket I had in my drawers. 3.5-4” in diameter maybe 6… but upon looking at the table full of parts I realized the dust cover to the axle nut makes a fantastic tool for pushing it in nice and easy with a few hits from the dead blow.
#2… Since the RCLT LCA are so much thicker and redesigned 100% for the axle channel it is nearly impossible to use an alignment bar to move the misalignment spacers and heim joint built into the lower shock mount…. Eyeballing the angle and rotation and using a flashlight to check straightness is the only way to feed the bolt. Not brut force (toe out slightly, upward at about 30 degrees was the ticket.
#3 and something I will likely talk with marlin about is that while this kit is amazing this is also the first production run. There was about 5mm of excess powder and zinc on one of the 2 knuckles which I tried to beat into place to no avail and ended up grinding the surface down to get it to mount.
#4 which is actually first thing is the steering rack is huge and requires a full day of fit cut weld on various components. Take your time and it’s not too bad in reality just easier to do it incremental vs going to far.

@Franken470 you get some tires on that monster yet? It seen daylight yet?

Have now spent better part of an hour taking with big mike about a few things we have found on the kit. 1 being that I am the only fitment known to be running an existing body lift which is possibly putting the steering in a bind. I’ve got a couple guys coming by to take a look this week and see if we need to make a custom shaft on a CNC lathe or rebuild existing… still some work to go but really excited.
