Slight change to the camping situation....

I was informed that Camp 6 is going to be filled by a music event on the same weekend.

We will be in the next camp, Camp 10. It is not as nice as Camp 6, but we don't have much other choice.

Keep an eye on your email if you are registered, in the next few days you will be receiving information for the event!

If anyone needs any parts and wants to save on the shipping quote, I'll be happy to bring parts up to the event.

Anyone need an H55F?

:D

HA! HA!

They are awesome. I want to see how they get pigeons to play ping pong.

I love Broccoli Samurai! :D

I put the over/under on grilled cheese vendors at 9 1/2.

Looking at that lineup, the John K Band is a really good band. I'm kind of shocked they are playing this event. They are doing a 2-night run at State Theater in December. That is something I would mosy on over for.

Full disclosure: I have a dancing bear sticker on each of my snowboards, Widespread Panic is one of my favorite bands, I have been to 9 GD shows and several bootlegs are in my music rotation.

I would be inclined to check out the music as well. It is certainly better than the "Not Quite Monsters of Rock but we paly Really F-ing Load Until 4AM Festival"

I was at most all of the 90s RFK shows, good times...

For those who have been to The Cove before, how is the cellular / data service? In particular, anyone on the Sprint network know what service is like out there?

I didn't register as a driver this year because a work project wouldn't let me take any time off. Bob, I now know what you went through for all those years. If I can get cell and data service to keep in contact with the office, I may actually be able to make an event this year.

RFK Dead shows in the 1990's= :smokin:

John--would 2M work through repeaters for your necessity to keep in communication?

Nope, it would be business confidential communications. I purposely put off getting a smartphone for years so I wouldn't be so reachable by the office, while away from it. Now that I have one I can't believe I waited so long.

Service was good that I remember I have AT&T.

LIFE • HEALTH • PROSPERITY

I had sprint a few years ago when we first went to the cove and it was fairly good
Can't imagine it is worse
My verizon coverage was great last year
And my att coverage was good earlier this year

As I recall, service on the mountain is good, however in the valley at camp, not so good (AT&T). So you're golden as long as you go on the trails and don't stay at camp to work.

see JS, you absolutely need to be out on the trails in order to do your work....the things you do to get work done....rough!
