Thought I would take a pic of the back half of the workshop today, as it seemed to be mostly one make, and model. [3 of which needed the hdfte front A arm fix for cracks] one is a new PD for toyota with locker, compressor, bullbar, bilstiens, t bars, springs etc etc and the white one for air bags in the rear.

Anything in the works for a coil-over suspension to help alleviate those A-arm cracks?

Had to look hard to see if it was a camry, or a prado [GX470 to you guys ] :D

Or, as we call prado's here, pramrys, half prado, half camry...

Our Bilstien fron shock package has been working so well, with the ARB torsion bars, we havent gone any further with the coil over set up as yet, unless we get someone who wants to go that way.

Thank god we got V8's and not TD. No cracking here. Ya think they could fix that though for the TD model.

We are using a custom Bilstien, to our design, with "special" top front mount, to stop the washers pulling through the hole in the chassis, like some other aftermarket shocks here, which have also broken afew eyes off the bottom, causing the ball joint to over extend, and snap off, and the wheel to collapse under the vehicle. [I wont say LTR..]

They have velocity controlled valving, extra long [comparable in length to OME] rears, and we use toyota / lexus bonded bushes in the bottom eyes, because they last for ever.

The cracking arms is caused by hitting the bumpstops, which are inboard, and it tries to bend the arm, causing it to try and come apart at the join, at the pivot point, where the A arm is bushed to the chassis, the TD is 100kg heavier than the V8 over the front, which may have something to do with it, but a winch and bar, dual batts, and a big bump stop hit has the same potential on a V8, same as a TD, we just dont see many V8 ones used in the same conditions as the TD here.

I'd love to see pictures of the Bilstein set up. Heck, I'd like to know what the cost would be shipped to the US;) Are you using custom 5100's?

We dont use 5100 or any "US" based shock combo, ours come as a specific part No for us from Germany.

Have spoken with Christo about sending him a set to try, and have built there, if demand/price allows.
