I'm posting this for a friend who is build a super tricked out 80 series with custom interior, vortec motor, bumpers, wheels etc. He wants all teh creature comforts of his 100 in an 80 including stereo control from the wheel. I'm not familliar with the fancy stuff on the 100's (or even everything offered on an 80) so I was wondering if anyone has swapped a steering wheel assembly from a newer model into a 80. I assume there are slip rings for all the control signals and if one was using a stereo that accepts wheel controls. The question then becomes did the steering assembly change between the 80 and the 100? If so what changed and how easy would it be to make a hybrid (100-->80) assembly? This will be one bad ass rig when it's done so I'll probably throw up some more details and pictures as it project goes from specs to build.
