I hope your ass looks better than that sticker... ;p

Looks like an H2 promoting a local hip-hop station now. :flipoff2:

I hope you mean my pretty pretty ass and not yours.

OK. Fine. Show me your LC that people pay you to ride around in. Oh, you don't get paid to take people out into the great outdoors to learn photography? Hmm...

Well as soon as you start getting paid because of the way your LC looks let me know. :flipoff2: If no one sees your ride how do you get people to want to ride in it?

You're probably right. Flashy cars will never be considered real off roaders. Those flashy FJ Cruisers won't ever be taken seriously. You'll probably never see one of them on a trail, they look too flashy.;p

I noticed you put the little smiley face with it's tongue sticking out after the sentence talking about my ass. What are you trying to say :princess:

 All in good fun!

I put Wet Okoles on the first and second rows. Found them here on MUD, the seller had them on ebay, and I got them for $167 (they retail for something like $750 with the custom "Land Cruiser" logo script on the front seats). Holy s***e! Those are awesome covers! Already more then paid for themselves in protection from food and liquid spills by our 2-year-old.

I've got DVD headrests. Would they be compatible? Do they come in leather?

I can understand advertising with your logo, but the yellow has to go. I think it would have looked better making the log on the side larger, possibly going over both front/back door

You obviously haven't seen his website...

If you are already planning on the ARB front bumper I would suggest getting the ARB side steps. They are not a rugged or expensive as some of the others, and they also have an extra bar that attaches to the front bumper....It will add to the safari look you are trying to acheive, here is a pic: (Talk to Kurt at cruiseroutfitters.com if your interested I think he quoted me ~$650)

Are the ARB sliders not really that tough? I was considering them when I was ready to get some.. either those or the Slee, but I liked the bar that went up connecting to the front bumper. I wouldn't want the whole vehicle resting on this, but does it have some function or is it just for looks?

I've got to get people's attention from 1/2 mile away and make them want to catch up to see what my rig says.

Imagine that logo against a silver body. From a graphic design and marketing point of view Silver cars are really overbearing and details get lost. I wouldn't have purchased a silver LC just for that reason. I wanted dark grey or forrest green, but I got this for a super deal with all the DVD equip and beautiful interior, I couldn't pass it up. If I had a dark grey LC I'd just have the logo and it would really POP off the side. Since I went with the Silver, I needed something to overpower the shine of the car and make it look not-so-pretty (it's a gorgeous vehicle). That's why the yellow stripe. From a marketing point of view, it makes my Logo stand out and makes the LC look more big kid rugged rather than soccer mom pretty.

Remember this is a Safari look I'm going for. Think about all the rally or baja rigs you've seen. They're flashy like this.

Well, since you posted it- If you ever re-do it I would go with a darker wrap like brown or green and let the yellow lettering and your logo be the loud eye catching stuff. Looks like your logo on your hood has great color and the one against the yellow (especially on the window) is washed out. But then again, your the photo guy, what do I know. I'll have to see what my wife says.

Yeah, I took a look at his site, but I still don't like the Yellow. Maybe if it was all yellow with the graphic, it would be better, but the yellow on the silver just doesn't fly with me.

But since you are doing this, maybe you should go with the same Yellow on the ARB bumper, roof rack, and sliders (if you get them).

I know you are proud of it, and you probably designed it... but that color combo is not effective.

The yellow looks dreadfully out of place on a champagne LC... Just my opinion.

It's more for brushing twigs and branches out of the way than grinding against rocks. For its intended purpose, I'm sure it works fine.

I think this all has got to be a first for Mud - even in the 100 forum....

:D

How old are you guys? I'd expect my grandpa getting worked up about a flashy car, but not guys in my age range 35-45.

Don't you guys ever check out off road rally sites or baja sites? It's all about showing off the car to get people's attention and make the sponsors happy. So far my sponsors seem quite content. The front quarter is for their logos. When all is said and done there won't be too much free champaign paint showing.

Maybe the auto body wrap hasn't hit where you guys live as big as it has here in the NW. My rig's tame by advertising standards. I'm actually trying to stay a bit conservative. Where I'm headquartered, 95% of the wealth of Portland drives to and from work every day. On the road marketing is big business.

So how do you guys advertise for your businesses? Market performance studies show that auto body wraps account for 88% of new business for companies who employ them up here. Say what you want, but I need to get people's attention, and in the two days I've been driving this around, inquiry calls have doubled. Like it or not, it's working!

Just wait till the bumper, roof rack, and suspension lift are in.

The ARB look cool but are not built to slide over rocks, they are just steps. If you want something that can handle rocks get the Slee. I almost made the same mistake, don't be the fool :grinpimp:

Tough to argue with success.

If you had picked more subtle colors that blended with the paint job your rig would have blended into commuter traffic, exactly what you didn't want. But it may have looked better in a photo shoot, which is a "who cares?" situation for you.

Stick to your guns, given your stated objective I think you are doing well.

Looks good to me.

How many of you guys after knocking this guy's taste in auto graphics then went and checked out his website?
