John, step sliders are the way to go. I went tube and the kiddos and wiffey were always complaining about the round tubes. I could not tell from website that they had a good slider with a good flat top type slider.
I would do sliders first. I used my sliders within 3 hours of installing them. MUD search my screen name, the sliders saved my rocker panels but not by door skin.

As someone who has some form of buyers remorse on everything I buy, I can say I'm 100% happy with the MT sliders.
Yeah I would have to agree. The WK ones are priced right and you can get them bare so you are able to rattle can them but from all the pics I have seen in the 100 forum, they angle up too much to truly be used as a step....You could throw on some grip tape but then you run the risk of catching your leg on them when getting out. Grip tape down the calf can't be all that good!
You are welcome to stop by my house and try mine out. Then you can decide for yourself if the MT ones work. Just let me know so I can open the truck so you can see. If they don't work then your only option really is Slee or custom. Greg has Slee so you can try out his if you need to do that.
