What's that going in?Mail is fun.
What's that going in?
Ok, Papalud and Shush, I've just about decided to swap my front bumper. If either of you are interested in my front combo bar, let's talk and see if we can work something out.......
Why would you leave me out? I might be interested as well....
Prolly figured you'd rather spend your money experiencing the sounds and smells of the ocean![]()
Don't know much about it, but I would recommend an AHC delete. Doesn't make sense to just keep throwing money at it when you could just buy a "traditional" suspension lift insteadAny of you guys ever done (or know/recommend someone) an AHC to traditional suspension conversion?
I've already sunk $1200 into my AHC in the last 6 months, and today it's throwing codes indicating the computer is out...gonna be another $1150.
At this point I would almost rather put that $1150 toward a traditional suspension swap...?
I agree with Nolen on all points. This shouldn't require anything but a removal of the AHC system (draining it should be relatively easy, since you're already familiar with the fluid replacement process), and replacement with another suspension system. Don't know about the Ironman Suspensions, but after following Nolen's experiences, replacing your AHC with OME T-bars and 866 rears will provide a level stance and a smooth ride (that's what I currently have). That being said, I can't say I'm very impressed with my OME shocks....VERY soft. I plan to replace them with Bilsteins.I don't think you need to pay to get this done though.
100 series suspensions are easy. Not sure what to do with the AHC fluid, but I am sure there is a step-by-step on Mud.
2006 AHC failure is rare. Wonder why you having so much trouble? No way I would pay to fix it though.
