Tell Rachel to tell daddy all you got is $18k and she really wants you to have it. Sell the aborted 62 and keep building up the 98. Problem solved....

I have a decision to make. My in-laws have a 2003 100 with 78,000 miles which has been offered to me or my bro in-law for $20,000. If they go open market they want 22,000 (which might already be spoken for). I am really wondering what to do because it is a CLEAN truck. My 100 is rough enough to wheel and not worry too much. This one looks brand fricking new.

We have offered it to a friend with the requirement that I get first dibs. That might be my best option.

What should I do?

Continue dreaming of 80s while buying 100s..

;p

Sell me your 98, buy this one and build it.

Ah, maybe you buy the new(er) one, then trade me your '98 for my factory locked '97 40th Anniversary 80 with OME suspension, ARB front, Warn winch, 305 BFG ATs and new head-gasket and valve-job.

You know what I call that?

Mike, you need to buy that '03. I would swap everything off of your '98 and stick it on the '03. Then sell your '98 to someone on the forum who wants to build a 100 series...someone like me!

I curse you Mark!!

Ha! Seriously, though, I'd love to know the specs on your 100...mods, tire size/trad wear, mileage, timing belt/water pump etc.

If I am going to talk my wife into selling/trading her beloved 80, I have to replace it with the right 100!!

Maybe mark will be the first to SAS a 100.
Lord knows he will everything ever made installed on it.
It will end up lookin like this:

Sell it and SAS the diesel runner.

62 is Not really "classic" with a chevy V8 and FJC steelies. Cool but not really classic.

Put moola into runner ..sweet powerplant is already installed

need the room and the 62 has it. Who said I was not going to SAS the Runner?

You just asked about Lucy (62)....not Darwin (4Runner)

Lenny the black wheels on my trucks are so the wheels DON'T stand out and that is not what you focus on they just blend in with the tires. Wheels on an off road truck are utilitarian you bend them you take a f'n hammer and bend them back......not have to get them RE-CHROMED. :flipoff2:

I know you don't like my wheels but 5 of them for $100 is was too hard to pass up. Plus I can run 37's on the Runner after the SAS.

Back to the 100 program....
