Today we installed 360 Performance Drilled and Slotted Black Zinc Rotors on a 1999 100 Series. Joel gives you a step by step on how to do this quickly and painlessly.

This video covers the front rotors only, we assume the rears are pretty self explanatory...but maybe we will do a short video on those at a later date.

We don't really endorse any brake pad but, we use ceramic brake pads almost exclusively. They work best with some form of slotted rotor as it eliminates the squeaking often associated with ceramic brake pads. What brake pad you use, is ultimately up to you.

Do this job and you WILL notice a difference!

I can not get the video to work. Anyone else?

They're being posted as photos, not videos

Ok, what am I missing? There are only 4 photos?

I did this last week using Jonseys kit... New bearings, pads, & rotors all around :) Next week I'm gonna swap the brake lines with stainless steel.

the video's here:

I looked through their YouTube account and saw nothing for the 100 series there.

It's basically the same on a 100 as on the 80 series. I think the Hub-Rotor bolts are on the inside on the 100 though. Easy enough if you can get those damn cone washers to release (use a brass drift or 3). Also keep a lot of shop towels on hand.

And ....

Really interested in this as well... I need to replace my rear rotors and pads and while I'm at it, I may as well do the front and replace the bearings. But before I commit, I would like to see the video and see if I feel confident I can do the work myself...

If I can do it, you can! The hardest part for me was getting the cone washers off.. I beat 3 brass drifts to pieces. After that, the bearings, pads, and rotor replacement was pretty easy. Make sure you buy all of the nuts, gaskets, and washers that you need in advance, and have plenty of grease, degreaser, and rags on hand.

I still need to replace the hoses, but that will be a job for next month.

Thanks for the vote of confidence... I'm much like my father, if something can go wrong, it will. :bang:

With that being said, i went ahead and ordered the Performance Brake Bundle with bearings, seals & stainless steel lines. Supposed to have everything to do the job. We'll see.

Guess I'll have to set aside a weekend to wrench now.
