10 SI alternator & engine keeps running

K, got the new cruiser...yay!

Got the diode...here is a pic of the alternator...

is this wiring correct??? Should those two wires be on that post??? on just the white/blck wire?

And the white/blk is where the diode goes right?

The big red wire needs to go on the batt. term. lug.. the black needs to have key-on voltage..... just swap em around...

if the blk/white wire is your batt. supply?? should be...it goes to batt.lug along w / the red.... if a diode is needed it will go on the black wire #1 location on the alt. plug

This is the first post that comes up under a search….

Line on diode towards alternator worked for my application. Picture for reference. Crimped and soldered in the middle.

Been wearing out the search button for years. Time to pad my post stats…#338!!!!
