Installed on my 05 Non nav GX470 CD player was originally in the dash for whatever thats worth...... Love this system as i now have bluetooth phone and music, front and rear cameras and navigation (even in no cell coverage areas with google maps offline feature )

My factory temp up control button was sticking a bit and this unit also took care of that with new control buttons (and adding the digital on screen controls as well) for just a small percentage of what the factory buttons cost.

OK, so they second harness arrived, no bueno.

Then they sent a Chinese language instruction manual that helped me figure out the first harness actually looks right...got the climate control connected and working. What wasn't clear from the start is you are reusing the back half of the OEM climate control unit. The two main harness plugs go right in and everything started/seems functional BUT there is one OEM harness plug left that I can't figure out? Also a few plugs on the nav harness that don't seem to go anywhere. Do you have any pics of your install?

Ugh. That doesn't build confidence. What year is your GX?

Mine is actually a Prado but 2007.

The extra plugs on the head unit harness might not be necessary connections or options...but obviously I don't want to put it all back together and then pull it apart again if it's something useful.

I'm most concerned with this one extra connector on the OEM harness:

Any idea what it's for? (the white plug)

I'm soooo asking for one of the Tokyo Police to see this and think the truck is stolen.

Looks like it's an OEM connection for blocking you from using the TV when the parking brake isn't applied, speed pulse, and reverse sensor. (Is this what is used to activate the reverse cam?)

Now I get to route the backup cam wiring....and hope I plugged it into the right video input otherwise I get to take it apart again.

Got rid of the Prado image, replaced it with a Lexus logo. Working on a custom boot Screen.

i dont know anything about coding but i would like to see how a new boot screen is done.

you're just basically adding custom image files to the internal HD, no coding experience needed. Just need to make sure the images are the right format.
