In an unfortunate twist of fate, the same weekend the club went to the PPR, I was scheduled to be in OBX. Doing both would have been ideal but it wasn't in the cards.
I went for a few reasons:
1. I wanted to get a better feel for the SELC's progress limiting ORV access on the beaches firsthand.
2. Because it's the Outer Banks and there is nothing else like it. The great state of North Carolina rules.
3. To check out of work for a few days of down time to recharge and get some perspective.
4. Because it's the Outer Banks and there is nothing else like it. The great state of North Carolina rules.
5. To fish, kayak, drive on the beach and generally leave anything remotely serious or stressful on the mainland.
6. Because it's the Outer Banks and there is nothing else like it. The great state of North Carolina rules.
7. To break in a different Cruiser OBX style and let my pups share the good times since they don't make the trek that often.
8. Because it's the Outer Banks and there is nothing else like it. The great state of North Carolina rules.
OK, enough of the boring stuff. Onto the pictures, though they are a bit repetitive since I didn't take as many as I usually do...
This should be a good primer for the club trip next year!!
