I have some Slee sliders to install on my 200. This job requires me to drill or enlarge 16 holes in the frame to 17/32. I have the bits but thought I would check to see if there is anyone in the CLT area that has a 1/2 capacity drill they would let me borrow before I go rent a ragged out one for an exorbitant amount of $$$$

Thanks,

Sam

and post some photos when you're done! Love to see a 200 with some Slee gear! I did see Christo took his to Moab with 35s in one of the threads from CruiseMoab.

Will do ... There a a few pics in the 200 pic thread of it in use .... It is a very slooooowwwwww long term build

Follow-up pics from the slider install.

Why I needed the drill (fresh holes and nutserts in a pristine 200 series frame)

Are nutserts along strong enough to hold those sliders in place?

They should be. The driver's side uses 9 8mm bolts and nutserts as well as 4-5 8mm bolts in factory threaded holes and one 1/2 bolt through an existing frame hole. This includes 4 bolts through the bottom of the frame.

The passenger side uses 7 nutserts and 8mm bolts as well as several existing threaded holes including the factory fuel tank skid plate holes and one 1/2 inch bolt through a frame hole.

They are fairly well engineered and the clamping force should be sufficient to hold them in place. Others have had good luck with them and they are designed for high lift jack use ...

The pic below will show a bit more of the design ... I think they will be adequate ...

With that many bolts, I think you'd be fine. Certainly looks beautiful!
