just tried to price one out on toyota.com and it didnt allow me to select the v8 option. is it still available?

production of the v8 in alabama is going to stop in march. Toyota will replace the 4.7 with a new 4.6.
The 4.7 in the 4runner comes from Japan so I think they still make it.

4.7 is a bullet proof motor with an excellent track record. is the 4.6 going to be produced in US?
4.6 will be produced in Alabama for Tundra and Sequoia. Production of the 4.7 ends in March for Alabama.
The 4.6 will be the new engine for the GX, 4runner and Land Cruiser 200 for worldwide sales (USA/Mexico will get the 5.7). I have a feeling Toyota will take longer to upgrade the Land Cruiser 200 as the next gen 4runner and GX will get the upgrades first. We may see overseas Land Cruisers with the 4.7 for a little longer after the 4.6 is introduced.
