I tried the two suppliers as well and got the same replies. It appears they may have dried up. Additionally, I think jerryb might be done with the harnesses. OEM touch screen from 2006 is still a neat novelty for people the first time they ride in my LC so there's that, I guess.

What do you not like about the Teyes unit? That unit i have heard the most positive out of outside of GROM unit and the absolute hated tesla style unit.
The unit does not appear to user friendly and you cannot program it with an Iphone. You have to use an android phone. I really dont care for the controls and the interface. Its probably just my personal preferences. Also, the previous owner did not wire up all the speakers properly, so my sound sounds like a radio from the 1920's. I am a bit worried about the durability when I go offroad and if it will withstand the bumps and vibrations. I dont have any data or experience to back up this feeling. Just my thoughts that it may not be as durable as a name-brand unit.

I just bought two sets of connectors JerryB suggested in his writeup. I was able to souce everything except two connectors, which I will have to 3D print. Im an idiot, so I'm not sure I will get it to work... But if I do, then Boom! Maybe its more trouble than it its worth, but maybe we can get this working and solve many issues people are having. we will see what happens

Which connector part numbers do you need? I might have spares and can send them to you

I swapped out the Nav system on my ‘05 LX years ago, and now that I just picked up an ‘06 LC, there’s no way I’d ever go back to the stock system. Not surprising, I've run into some headaches trying to find the AC Amp though. I’ve gone down a few different paths and tried several sites for the 88650-60B90. Toyotapartsdeal.com said they had it, but my order ended up being canceled. I also have an 88650-60810 on order from eBay as a backup, since a few of you mentioned it as a possible alternative.

Last night, I got an email back from carmarka.com regarding the 88650-60B80, and here’s what they had to say:

Dear Customer,

Upon processing your order item is not on immediate stock.

Item can be order from Japan by sea with roughly 100-150 business days handling time but we cannot guarantee that item will arrive as per the normal time frame as factory is working on and off.

But if item is subject for reproduction sometimes Japan factory may do cancellation of the item and it may take after 2 to 3 business days.

Is that okay with you?

Are you willing to wait?

But the price is USD 602.13.

To proceed with this order total of extra USD 109.38 is needed.

Note that back order/s once placed, cancellation is no longer possible. They are also non-returnable and non-refundable items.

Please confirm and proceed with the payment.

Our whats app +971 56 344 9923.

Thank you.

Via

This is a fresh email, and I’ll keep you posted on the status. Hopefully, the factory will make more. I even told them I’d be willing to buy up to 10 additional units. We’ll see how this plays out.

That's very interesting...I emailed back and forth with them (Carmarka) earlier this month and they had their manager check to see if additional units could be manufactured. They came back and said no. I messaged with a different person though (Alex). Maybe 'Via' knows the secret way to order more?

That email was from last night, so I will keep you all posted. I hope they can come through with this board.

@jerryb I bought your wiring harness for my LX, and it worked perfectly. Now I need one for my '06 LC. I saw that you're no longer making the harnesses, and you mentioned having instructions on how to build your own. However, I haven't been able to find those instructions yet. Can you or anyone else point me in the right direction? I'd really appreciate the help!

Fingers crossed Carmarka comes through for you!

This is the jerryb parts list for the harness:

Thanks, I was searching on my phone and could not find it.

Well, Carmarka finally got back to me. They said they tried “to place the order directly from Japan, but this item is no longer available.” Figured that might happen, but I was still hoping they’d manage to source or manufacture a few more. Oh well!

I have an '06 (09/2005) LC currently in the shop for body work. I managed to get my hands on the 88650-60810. Based on what’s been shared here, it sounds like this should work if I use transistors to convert from ACS/ALED on the amp side to AC1/ACT on the vehicle side. I can handle the wiring, but @sunfic, @jerryb (or anyone else), do you have pictures of this setup?

Also, is there a chance that my early '06 LC could be ACS/ALED? Once I can access the vehicle again, is checking the plug pinout the best way to confirm?

With all the info in this thread, I’m curious—what’s the best way to control the compressor effectively?

It it all goes to rats, then your backup might be the T'eyes CC3 + amp replacement. The CC3 doesn't play well with the JBL amp (hissing), so if you go down that path install the CC3 -> good shielded/twisted pair RCA leads -> compact 5 channel amp. If you want to go the whole hog with DSPs and active crossovers, click here :)

My son's iPhone 13 connects via CP wired and wireless, so can allay any fears about the CC3 being Android only.

I'd still go with a relay and a toggle switch over by the mirror control driver's side. Any time I've made a transistor or anything on a circuit board it has eventually failed miserably.

I've thought about what happens when I see another 06-07 that I'd like to buy. I think id get the set up from that FB guy- right hand drive ancient AC amp and make the whole thing work if I really wanted two non nav 100's.

Anything built before jan 2006 is early. A build date after that will require extra work to make anything other than the 60b80 amp work correctly.

@jerryb can you give me a little more details on the "FB guy" and "the right hand drive ancient AC amp"? Is that something that works or does that need some dev?

Do you or anyone else have more details on the wiring for the relay? I saw this from @sunfic but I feel like I am missing something.
per my testing, AC/S -> AC1 conversion you can use relay, 85 connects to AC/S and 86 connects to ground, 87 connects to AC1 and 30 to ground.
However it is not working for ACT -> MGC conversion, the ACT has no load capacity, it just cannot drive the normal automobile standard relay.
the Toyota Amp output usually uses open-drain or pull-up MOSFET circuit, using transistor to do the conversion is the correct way.

I am confident I am make this work, I just need some help bwith etter understanding this.

I have the 88650-60810 in my 2006 LC, everything is working except for the A/C.

My lx470 was totaled in an accident. The other party insurance company paid out the truck and I was able to remove all the radio from the car.

If anyone interested in the whole sets of the radio including amplifier, all the wire harness, covers, and head unit, I can part them out. I will put them out soon.

I also have some remaining harness connectors which I can give out as well.
