i just yanked a set off some cruiser in a grocery store parking lot not too long ago... what are they worth to ya?

really though, i've been thinking of taking mine off to prevent loss from theft or simply loosing them in a corner.

one day i was taking a corner and heard something bouncing across the road. i looked to see one of my center caps bouncing across the road towards a drainage ditch. next day i had all of them off to make sure the tabs were bent out and stiff enough to hold them on.
 
Just noticed one of my center caps missing... don't know when or where I lost it.

Am interested in a new set of center caps if not too expensive. The set on E-Bay look nice too.

I wonder how much a new oem set costs?
 
OEM is $67 EACH!! that is what i did when i got them for my 60 with 80 wheels!

HMMMM, pretty sure this is the first thread i started on this, actually i just checked using the search function and it is!!! Seems you are jumping down my throat for no reason man! Whats your beef? If your talking about the thread on POR, i think its good to cross post on some stuff to see the different opinions on the 2 boards.

As for why not refinish them like the other member did. While his did come out awesome and they look great, if i could just buy another SET for $75 or so, that would save me a lot of time and $ and i feel it would be worth it. Looks and sounds like quite a bit of work to refinish them.

Also, why are YOU giving ME crap?

Ditto that, i tried already and they looked even worse then when i started, i dropped the coin for new ones and although it hurt, they looked sharp!
 
I believe I will go that way also. Not enough hours in a day saga.

Re-spraying the center caps was like the first thing I did on my ride - a little washing, light sanding and $5 can of spray bomb. Guess it's your $75 bones -

Well, i just bit the bullet and bought a set, once they get here, i will give you all feedback and pics!

The type that I puchased were the later ones (silver with gold Toyota emblem). They look fine to me.

That is the same guy I got mine from. Toyota wanted £48 per cap ($90-$100) which I thought was ridiculous. Mine had no center caps when I got it so I needed a set.

Very happy with the fit and finish of mine.
