Hey Everyone I got the 55 delivered the other night so we gutted her and started work. Sorry theres no pics in this post cant find my camera anywhere. So anyway she only cost a dollar on ebay so as you can imagine shes got a little bit of rust. So the plan of action is to chop stuff up and make it a fun 4 wheeling car. Anyway so we are chopping it at the support member right behind the passenger doors and opening the back up into a bed. Sorta like a Chevy Avalanche. Just wanted to hear any feedback anyone might have on the idea. Thanks Richard

sounds sweet, like the 80 someone has on this board. i dont doubt it will be the first of its kind, and that in itself is cool even if it turns out like crap ;p good luck

Thanks for ruining my day guys I thought I finally had an original idea. Appreciate your input though. I am trying to achieve something like those 2 tiny pics of the green 55. We'll see how well it ends up. Probably not quite as nice. Thanks Richard

ruin your day??? hell i would think being on the internet as you are you would have seen those and many others,,,
BTW it doesnt matter if it been done before, its cool if its done right, and alot arent.

i also have what i beleive an original idea, that is to turn an FJ55 into a truck like a 45 is to a 40. prolly use a 45 bed.

keep us up on the project, and git yer cam!!

Heres a couple pics I took earlier today turns out my roommate had my camera in his room and forgot. So anyway this is after we have been ripping it apart for about 12-14 hrs, and the heap of parts that came with.

The floor after we cut out the drivers side still have the passenger side to go. Well for some reason this pic wont load on here but basically the only thing left up front is the 12-18 inches where the tranny and drive shaft run down the center of the car all the rest got cut out.
