On my 77 I had to set the bottom tabs before connecting the speedo cable. I did have enough room to get my hand behind it to connect it once the bottom was set.
Crushers is north of Hanover close to Chesley, but well worth the drive. Another guy is Landblazer, hes in Acton and knows his way around Cruisers and diesels.
Hey JD, the tear down is really coming along. If you think the speedo cable was fun to get off, wait till you plug it back in!! I still owe you a visit and hope to make it out shortly in my 40...I'll let you take it for drive to help keep you motivated...
I'm pretty sure you can get them from NAPA. I seem to remember getting one for my 2F from a club member that worked there. I'll take a look tonight and see if i still have the box kicking around.

I took 2 portable aluminum cup holders (they look like beer coolies) and some good quality 2 way tape and attached them to the tranny hump, tight against the front seat bracket. They stay in place quite well.

The 33" or 35" doesn't matter, the 12.50 is what matters to the rim. I run my 33"x12.50 on 8" rims with no problem. I think the smaller rim helps hold the bead on when aired down.

Romey, you should look in to Mud Kings. They're a BFG knock off that are alot cheaper. That's what Brads running on his 62. Not sure if they're still available or not but you might want to give him a call.

The torque spec for Toyota flare nuts 13 - 18 Nm. A little higher or lower won't hurt as long as they're not leaking. You should still see a couple of threads showing once it's tight.
