    LS swap wiring question.

This is in reference to an 86 FJ60. I am wrapping up the wiring on my LS swap and am looking to mount my fuse panel in place of the carb cooling fan relay. Obviously I wont be running that fan. Anyone see a problem with deleting the relay?

    4.8 swap questions.

For my re-power project, I have a Chevy 4.8 bolted to a GM 4 speed bell housing which is bolted to the Ranger torque splitter bolted to the stock Toyota 4 speed. When I position the trans and transfer case into its location the driver side of the motor is high, like the bellhousing needs to be...

    Ls swap motor mount feedback

Im fairly certain the mount is too high. Thoughts/opinions? I didn't have an angle finder. Picking one up tomorrow before welding the mounts in. Looking for feedback. The truck is an FJ60. The motor, 4.8 mated to factory 4 sp via the Ranger Overdrive.

Ranger overdrive going into a '86 fj60 snafu

Just wanted to let you guys know that apparently the 4 speed in the '86 model years could have the larger diameter input shaft bearing. Mine did. The Advance Adapters website notes the '87 model year transmissions could have one of two size bearings so I thought I would be good to go when...

    Engine swap time.

After taking forever to get my act together and stacking parts it's time to start the engine swap on my truck. A 4.8l Chevy motor is getting swapped in. I've got two months to get it finished. When mocking up the headers and engine mounts I was able to get the mounts to clear by moving...

    Clutch Master stroke

I'm purchasing the last few parts for my '86 FJ60 5.3 swap project, and I'm looking at ditching the fork and throwout bearing in my GM clutch setup for a hydraulic t/o bearing. I have not been able to find how much stroke the stock clutch master cylinder has. If I read the right source, the...

    Clutch release fork snafu.

So I got my engine and trans back in the truck and as I was bolting up the clutch slave I discovered the release for had gotten whacked or some sh*t and had popped the springs that keep it connected to the release bearing hub. I'm pretty sure that I'll have to pull the trans to get everything...

What do you guys know about this little pipe that goes from the resonator/cat to a rubber hose that disappears into the floor. This is an '86 FJ60. Thanks

    Looking at a used H55F

I am hoping to confirm that a H55F that is already installed in an F40 will swap into my FJ60? I'll be mounting it behind a Ranger Torque Splitter and a Chevy V8. Any input is appreciated.

    Been lurking for awhile.

I've been stacking up the goodies to swap a v8 into my 60. Last night I ordered my Ranger torque splitter. So now the tear down begins. Ive been staring at it for two years now. It feels good to get moving on this project.

    Engine compatibility

I'm running an 86 fj 60 with a wicked amount of blow by. Cylinders 3 and 5 show 20 psi of compression dry and 50/60 psi with a wet test. Ultimately I want to rebuild the motor but this is my DD so i want to limit down time. There is a complete 2F motor, carb to pan from a '77 fj40 for sale...
