Help is appreciated, as this has me and my daughters stranded at a hotel out of town.
The red security light continues to flash when I insert the key and try to start the 100. The engine turns over fine, just doesn't fire.
I assumed the chip inside the key was fried, so I had my wife overnight...
On the road home from Yellowstone last night, I noticed a slight vibration through the drivetrain while accelerating 45-55 mph for a moment. A little ways down the highway, there was a quick momentary pull on the steering (moving the steering wheel ~ 1 inch) this pull felt mechanical - not a...
I just finished the HIH weekend and today while off road in Silverton, climbing in 4 low, I could hear a CV clicking. I only heard the clicking while climbing under load. However, I did notice a sound on the highway while taking curves to the right. I could feel the clicking slightly through the...

Searched and found recommendations for Amsoil BRAND ATF on here, but did not see specifics on which line of Amsoil ATF.
Amsoil has a Signature Series Multi-Vehicle, and a OE Multi-Vehicle. Signature Series is a few more dollars per quart. Any experience or suggestions?
I'm contemplating some E load tires for the 100. For those of you who have wheeled both E and D tires on your 100, is there a substantial difference in ride quality if going to E's? I am hoping it doesn't take the 100 from smooth to bone-jarring. TIA
Ironic that 40TUDE posted this question earlier today, as I am having a similar issue.
History: I was involved in a front collision which, along with my bumper and fender, "dinged" my FR wheel (see pic below). The insurance replaced the wheel (but no other suspension components), the tires...
That is the question.
'98 River Rock Green. Currently in the body shop with paint credits that I can apply towards painting the blueberry. Thoughts? Suggestions? Anyone painted their blueberry, pros/cons?
Was curious on the boards recommendations for front shocks. Here's my info:
About to install Slee's Blueberry bumper and OME torsion bars (looking for about 1.5"-2" raise in front).
My offroading is light, mostly an asphalt barbarian.
I've found the OME Nitrocharger Sport Shock Absorber...
Was thinking this would be the perfect opportunity to get an ARB or TJM bumper. How does this work with insurance? I'm guessing I could choose my bumper and pay the difference? Any advice?
Any suggestions? I have a stock 100 with 33's and running boards removed.
I am looking for some mild trails that I can also set up an overnight camp at.
Anything within an hour or so from the upstate.
Thanks.
including the KNA-G510 nav unit. The biggest features that interest me are: Navigation, IPOD abilities, and DVD/TV tuner capabilities. Pros/Cons? Is the Pioneer worth the extra $$?
Sorry if this seems too personal. Just curiosity on my part due to making a career change myself. I worked for 12 years in lower management levels within manufacturing...now getting ready to start my own home inspection business.
I lurk here often, but rarely post, mainly just daydream of...
I was considering purchasing the T17 for my '98, and was curious if anybody had one of these mounted on their 100. Any additional information or pictures of one of these on a 100 (I've seen it mounted on the LX) is appreciated.
I just got my 285/75/16 REVOs this weekend, now I am ready to...
