Early Toyota vehicles were supplied to NZ in CKD form and were partly assembled locally to generate local employment etc. I recently had an opportunity to meet an old school upholstery shop and found a sample of red vinyl that was supplied by Toyota to finish seats of CKD vehicles.

Hello Folks,
Please school me on how to distinguish difference between 1974 and 73 and earlier 2 barrel carburetors. I know some 9/73 and earlier had cable type accelerator linkage in USA but in NZ even 1974 had cable linkage and that is what making me confused. What else I should look for...
Hello Mud Fellas,

It seems fuel sender is shot on mine, so looking for a suitable option.
1) Can a new one still be sourced?
2) Any other later year sender will work?
3) Is there any number or marking stamped on OEM sender? (Mine is covered under paint and nothing is visible)
Thanks in advance.
I have got F.5 motor in my FJ25 that originally had mechanical accelerator linkage (Carburetor to Gas Pedal on firewall). I have got whole linkage missing, please post some pictures of original linkage to help me figure out what all I am missing. All I know is it wasn't a cable type linkage and...
Hi Guys,
I am putting up this for a friend who is also one of the biggest collector and wracker of cruiser parts in NZ. (Disclaimer - I don't own any of the stuff and neither I have any commercial interest nor any intentions of making money in between). He has been a great help to me since 2009...
Looking to trade this rare pair of mirror arms with -
1) FJ25 locking gas cap
Or
2) Early SD40 / DD40 carburetor (Big Glass Window).
These are probably the best mirror arms offered by Toyota and very sought after especially if you have a trailer. You can check other side without even...
Recently authorities in both New Zealand & Australia have become very strict on asbestos regulation and in particular on classic & vintage vehicles & spare parts imports. Asbestos was used in various parts such as brake pads, gaskets etc. Concerned authorities are randomly checking vehicles &...
