I haven't been around for a while, I know....but now that the cruiser is no longer my wife's daily driver, it's become my camping truck and i'd like to continue outfitting it as such...
took it with my father-in-law and a group of guys at the beginning of October to Red...
so i had a poker game last night at my house....was nice to play on the last table i built 5 years ago (and has only seen like 3 games so far :()
and here's the new table that i'm working on now...
our friends were getting rid of their oak dining table that had a beautiful pedestal....well...
tip# 1...don't tip your zuk off the jackstands...
so i got the axles last april...by this pace i should be done in another 3 or 4 years...
yesterday i managed to knock the zuk off the jackstands and almost flatten myself in the process...luckily, no harm was done other than the kids inside...
yesterday..."welded" the basket to the cross bars...
today...mounted the roof rack on the wife's 80...
tomorrow...get a friend to weld on the rear swing away tire carrier...

I went ahead and got the Trail Gear setup for $130...bought my buddy a spool of wire and a bottle of gas and 2 days later....voila! Rock Slides on my wife's '91...
Heads up, these sliders fit great and look great, but you will need about a 14" long piece of tube for the front passenger mount...

Ok...so we got my wife's 91 (162k) put back together after a head gasket job and now we can't seem to get it running right...
It keeps throwing a code 71 (EGR System) and there is a rough idle once you've gotten it up to speed and brought it back down a couple of times (like the 2nd or so...

When making sure your high pressure line is tightened down nice and snug to the power steering pump, make sure not to rotate the line so it's rubbing against one of the lower pulleys...That way it won't explode on your wife when she drives the 80 to work and begin spewing PS fluid all over the...

So the last step in getting my 80 up and running? Draining the water from the radiator and filling it up with anti-freeze and distilled water...What do I go and do? Put a crack where the bottom spout meets the radiator trying to get the lower radiator hose off...
