Hot water / shower products for camp / vehicle

Bumping an old thread, but I am building a similar set-up for my offroad trailer in a 1550, and a couple questions: Any issues with the hinges carrying the weight mounted in the lid after time? And second issue I'm concerned about in my build is the heat venting, so I spaced it out 1 1/2" to...

    SOLD Little Rock '94 FZJ80

Price drop to $11,000, and I'll throw in the RTT pictured. It's a 1st Gen CVT Mt St Helens with zippers that need to be upgraded. Just about any top shop or marine upholstery shop can do the zipper upgrade. Solid, clean, tent. I bought it new, slept in maybe a dozen times until I went to a CVT...

Chasing mushy brakes caused by LSPV?

I don't miss it, and I do like stopping. I've run without it loaded, unloaded, in the snow and offroad and never had any of the problems white stripe mentioned, but I certainly understand the concerns. I can say I've ony had to emergency brake one time with no issues, but of course your mileage...

Chasing mushy brakes caused by LSPV?

I was having same issues, and I ended up rebuilding front calipers. Pistons had seen better days. Pricey, but worth it IMO. My LPSV was shot, too, so I removed it and straightlined front and back. Has made a huge difference. It was a booger to bleed properly, took several attempts. System is...

Need Pics of Rear Heater Bypass at Firewall

As I remember, the only electrical component in the system are the fan controls. The rear fan switch is a rocker that I didn’t disable and front has worked great since I bypassed rear. Could also be the mechanical cold/hot slider on your new valve needs to be all the way one way to maximize...

94 LC owner looking for 02 Sensor part #’s, and location

I'm in the same boat, but unfortunately Joey is out of the 24044, and I don't trust Amazon since they are known to allow copy-bot branding. A few of the reviews on Amazon have me concerned too, so rockauto it is.

To bypass or not to by pass that is the question

This is too late I'm sure, but I upgraded that whole section in your second photo with the 95-97 hard pipe after taking out the PAIR stuff. It was pricey, and required a new accel cable bracket, but looks clean and factory. Others have replaced that whole length with green stripe.

    94 PAIR removal update

It's pretty straightforward for removing, and there are several threads detailing the process and the parts you need. It's been a couple since I did it, and I don't remember exactly. You can order the 'keychains' from WitsEnd, and some have moved the O2 sensors to the manifold location with no...

    94 PAIR removal update

My vote is yes. I added keychains, eliminated and tossed all the mess, added a cap on the air intake, and upgraded to the newer hardpipe coolant line. I've had no issues at all. Only hard to find part when I did it was the newer version of the accelerator cable bracket. No regrets.

Fuel pump replacement parts and baselining jibberish

I did rebuild the PS pump some time ago...forgot to add that. I did replace fuel filter. The radiator is not orginal, but no idea when it was replaced. it 'appears' fine and not having any temp probs, but I may give it another good flush before I leave. Thanks!
