I am selling the taillight assemblies that came with my '76 40 before restoration.
They are a bit crusty and the wires have some janky trailer connections, but I do believe they are OEM lights made by Koito, and they do work.
Maybe somebody needs an extra set for a trail rig?
$20 plus shipping.
I am selling a set of aftermarket tail light assemblies that I had installed on my '76 FJ40 for a short time.
I since purchased OEM tail lights for my restoration.
These are stamped Toyota on the lenses and metal housings, but I don't believe they are OEM.
I am also including waterproof...
I have a set of new front FJ40 turn signals for sale.
I bought them, but I don't consider them restoration quality, so I got OEM for my restoration.
If you need a low cost set, these may be for you, but don't expect OEM fit and finish.
$40 plus shipping for the pair. I paid more, but happy to...
I have a complete air cleaner assembly that I removed from my '76 FJ40 when switching to EFI.
I understand it's an FJ60 assembly even though the PO installed it on my FJ40 with 2F engine.
It's not rusty and the carb gasket also seems to be in soft pliable condition.
$250
I could use some troubleshooting suggestions.
I recently got my '76 FJ40 back on the road after a frame off resto. Because the heater and blower still needed to be restored, I initially bypassed the heater valve. My engine has never come up to normal operating temp. The gauge barely comes off...
I'm looking for a right side defrost duct for my '76 40. It's the one that clears the copper lines to the heater. Preferable with the knockout still in place since I don't have the secondary defrost vents. Also interested in a single copper line cover that goes over the rubber section.
Thanks.
I've got plastic broken away around the fresh air intake on my '76 FJ40 blower motor housing. I know it's not that critical since it just draws fresh air from the vent on the side of the truck and won't be visible, but this is a complete resto, so I'd like to get it right.
Anyone happen to have...
Has anyone here installed the one piece headliner from Cruiser Solutions in their 40?
https://cruisersolutions.com/product/fj40-seamless-headliner/
The pic on their website is blurry, and I really want to see an actual installation.
Thanks.
I have a new build with a new OEM clutch master and secondary cylinders, stainless hard line, and braided flex line. There are no leaks.
I've bled the system a few times following everything I know, plus the Haynes manual, until there there are absolutely no bubbles - just clean fluid. The...
Selling this HEI Distributor along with a set of new wires (stock connectors are different). I bought this for my recently completed restoration and it ran great, but I decided I wanted a more stock setup and switched to a '78 OEM disti with no points.
This has approximately 50 miles on it, if...
According to the stamps, this is an OEM Aisin carb from a ‘84 fj60. Date of mfg is March 13, 1984. It came from my running '76 FJ40, and the PO had it installed when he had the engine rebuilt not long before I bought it.
When I restored my truck, I went with an EFI setup. Comes with a spacer...
One of my co-workers brought me a great Landcruiser book from the Toyota HQ in Japan.
Of course it's in Japanese, but the eye candy is amazing! Here are a few shots.
Does anyone recognize this carb that came with my '76 FJ40? I know the PO had this installed as a replacement, but I can't tell who makes it.
The pics show the only markings I could locate. It looks like Arram to me, but I read on another thread someone said it's a Aisin.
Thanks.
Curious if anyone has installed one of these? Any opinions? It’s supposed to be complete with all connectors specific to the year you specify.

I'm restoring my headlights and now that I'm ready to reassemble them with new hardware, I discovered they must be from different years. I matched one of them to pics online of new '79+ buckets, but the other is not the same. I have a '76, by the way. The tabs on the buckets are way
different...
I’m putting my ‘76 40 doors together and found some of these grommets in the parts box. I can’t see where they go on the doors. Maybe somewhere else?
Thanks!
I'm trying to figure out what the holes are for in these pics. They are in the rear corners of both sides of the tub.
I think the larger holes might be for wiring to marker lights and license plate older, but not sure about the rest.
This is a new 3/4 tub for a '78.
Thanks!
I could use some guidance on a loud squeal coming from the front right wheel of my '76 FJ40.
This is a frame off resto and today was the first test drive around the neighborhood. Axles were redone and bearings were replaced. I have new brakes all the way around - discs in front, drums in rear...
I bought an upright bottle jack holder years ago for my '76 resto, but am just now realizing (at reassembly) it won't fit, because it's for a '79 and newer.
It's in excellent shape. The seller sprayed some primer over the original red paint - these were painted to match the body color, but it's...
