About a two weeks ago I parked the cruiser for about an hour, got back in and it wouldn’t start, no problem, change out the EFI relay and I am off…NOT SO FAST…still won’t start…sounds the same but I have a CEL on. Fiddle with the plug wire’s, found one that might have been loose (shouldn’t have...
Finances have change and I need to sell my 92. Everything works as it should except the cruise control. I haven’t had a chance to look at that yet.
The truck is in great shape, no rust on the body. The running boards do have some rust along the bottom edge. It is typical of any 91 or 92 I...
New to me 80, now with pics
I picked up an 80 yesterday. Can't believe that I waited so long to join, I have had my 40 for almot five years and love it.
It is a 92, 187,000 miles, inter. and exter. are in great shape. Champain with brown cloth. Some the of the typical 80 issues to deal...
My SBC motor mounts
This is what I came up with after looking at several other options. Total time about 2 hours for both sides, total cost about $30 in materials (DOM is $$$)
I just used 1/4 for the plate and the DOM is sized to the spring bushings I had. I used the half of the chevy...
I just wanted to run this by you guys. I test drove a 91' 80 with just under 109,000. Everything seemed to be fine w/ the LC mech. They are asking 6900 for the truck. Very clean outside and inside other than a few minor interior issues.
New tires, cold AC, sun roof, rear sliding windows...
Just saw this in the wheels and deals mag here in Colorado Springs.
If I had the money this would be a post on my new 45lv but anyway.
My number is 719-328-1019 and aske for Curtis. Only here in the mornings. If anyone is serious I could go take some pics or take a look.
I am tired of my oil-less compressor. It is a 22 gal, 0 hp, can't keep up peice. I am thinking about getting a pump and 220v motor and using the existing tank. Anyone do a conversion like this?
I want something that will run autobody tools so it needs to be at least 10 to 14 CFM at 90 psi...
I need to shorten my tie rod down to 46 1/4". I ran the ends till they bottomed out and still had to go another inch.
If I cut the tie rod 1/2" on each side and then cut 3/8 off the end of the threaded end of the rod ends I will get to where I need to be.
Is there an issue w/ cutting...
Saw these two Cali. plated cruiser in Cabo San Lucus on Dec 9, 2004.
Anyone know whose they are?
I am planning a road trip down Baja, then ferry to the mainland for the return trip and would like to talk to them.
I spent about ten min. drilling my second leaf on the rear to swap front to back. I remember reading on this board that a masonary bit work good.
It DIDN'T work good, it worked GREAT.
only about a min and I was done.
I just got my steering arms back from W w/ Over the Hill. I first must say what an awsome job. I expected the arms to come back bent and reamed. W took the time and my arms are now painted black and look great.
Thanks again W.
Now for the tech, what is the torque on the studs that...
I am sick of the window regulator in my 40. I have broken two on the drivers door. Do the later doors have better hardware for the regulator.
I am considering looking for a set to put on my 72' and making half doors from my original doors.
Anyone know of a set?
Does anyone know a place that rents them. I would like to do the work myself but don't think it would be worth me buying one. I am thinking that I will buy the front profile cage from Metaltech and bend new hoops for the mid and rear.
Located in Colorado Springs.
Thanks
Can someone give me some feedback on my welds? I havn’t welded a lot but enough to probably get myself into trouble. I have someone that can possible come over and weld everything up.
All pics are the end of the pass. side frame, welding on the spring perch. Does my penetration and...
I just got a 73 k-5 blazer w/ pwr steering. I got the truck for the fresh 350 and parts. I also have a scout pwr steering box. With the front springs swaped end for end what is the best pwr steering setup?
I can't recall seeing many 55's in town. I know of one in the mountains that I need to stop and look at. I looks to be in great shape (but doesn't everything at 60mph)
Do you have a 55 now and where are you located now?
