Ok, so my dad is replacing his 7.3L Diesel (non turbo) with a bigger engine here soon. So he is going to give me his 7.3. For those of you who don't know, these were in Ford pickups from the late 80's until they came with the powerstroke. I was just wondering if this will fit in a 40 and what...
I've got four brand new Pro Comp 15" travel shocks. They are still in the box. I was just stupid and ordered shocks before the SOA and I need to get these off of my hands. I'll take $115 for all four or $30 a piece OBO.

Maybe some of you Aussies can help me here. Some time back I was reading in 4wheel and offroad about some crazy air suspension some aussies were using in their trucks. The truck had a V8 for an engine, but used two cylinders for air compressors. The pressurized air was then forced out through...
Ok, don't shoot me yet. I picked up a Scout II for free. The drive train is in good condition and I was thinking of swapping the dana 44's into my 67 cruiser. It already has front disc brakes, but rear drums. I was also going to swap in the dana 20 t-case to compensate for the centered rear...
Just a though after reading some other posts. Would it be worth the time to make my own greasable spring pins.  :Drill a hole through the middle the bolt, length wise, but not all the way. Then a hole through the middle, the part that would be inside the bushing. I don't know, maybe there...
I've looked at Advance Adapters website and they don't seem to offer an adapter for a t-18 to a 3-speed transfercase. Has anyone done this or is this a stupid idea. Maybe I should go with the sm420 instead. I am getting a 351 soon, so I thought it would be easier to use the t-18 since this...
Ok, last weekend I was driving around town and when I parked the cruiser (67 FJ40) for the night, I looked down at the fire wall and noticed smoke. I immediately reached for the keys to shut the cruiser off and burnt the crap out of my fingers.
After I had got things calmed down I did some...
I'm getting the bugs worked out of my 40. Just did SOA and hydro steer with 36's. I'm pretty sure the only way to find all of the problems is to take'er wheeling. I'm trying to round up some people to go wheeling at the Tuttle Creek ORV park. Probably the last weekend in March. I definately...
I was wondering how much cfm the stock fan (4 blade) pulls. I'm thinking about getting an electric fan, but I don't know what size I need. I'm sure even the smallest electric fan can get more air through the radiator than the stock fan. Also it will be handy to shut off for high water...
I was curious if I could use a Saginaw ps pump for a hydro steering setup.  :Does it produce enough pressure and does it have enough volume for a full hydro setup?
Thanks
I was looking around for a rebulit kit for my carb for '67 F. It is a Tillotson model YF3. I've asked around and nobody have even heard of this carb, used in anything but heavy duty industrial applications. So I need some help with finding a rebuild kit, or maybe I should just go with a new carb.
Ok, just did the SOA. In the process of the steering and drive shafts. I know I am going to need a cv in my shafts. I was just wondering if it makes a difference in putting the cv on the pinion side or the xfer case side. Sorry if it's a newbie ?, but I just wanted to know the...
Ok, in the process of a SOA and I am deciding to go with a total hydraulic steering setup. I was wondering if anyone out there has tried this and what you might think will work best. I will probably use an orbital valve out of an old combine and a hydraulic pump off of a tractor (get the tax...
Ok, I am attempting a SOA on my 67.  :Due to all the lovely winters it has been through several of the rear spring bolt (the ones that go through the eyes of the springs) we stuck. Even with an air hammer I couldn't get one off and had to torch it off. Anyway, Spector sells those things...
